Empowering Children

A collaborative initiative between Tiketi Rafiki, a private electronic ticketing company, and the Tumaini Foundation, a non-governmental organization. Located in Ihumwa ward, Dodoma city, Tanzania, our center is dedicated to providing educational opportunities to some of the region’s most vulnerable children. Our mission is clear: to empower orphaned and underprivileged children through computer education and skills development.

Project Description

Our charitable project is designed to offer essential computer training and skills development to vulnerable children, with a focus on orphans and those facing challenging circumstances in Ihumwa ward, Dodoma city. Meet Our Leadership Team

Raymond Magambo

Executive Director

As a Fulbright Scholar and a Mandela Washington (YALI) Fellow of 2015 placed at Northwestern University in the Business and Entrepreneurship track, Raymond Magambo has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and leadership. With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, he has applied his skills across various African countries and in the United States. Currently serving as the Executive Director of our center, Raymond holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Massachusetts, United States. His profound educational background and expertise in IT contribute to his visionary leadership, dedicated to leveraging technology for the betterment of underprivileged children in our community. Raymond’s influence significantly shapes our center’s mission and programs, reflecting his passion for making a positive impact through technology.

Tumaini Kivuyo

Assistant Executive Director

Tumaini Kivuyo, our Assistant Executive Director with over a decade of experience serving orphans and underprivileged children, brings her unique perspective and skills to our team. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Dodoma, Tanzania, providing her with a deep understanding of the social dynamics that impact our students’ lives. Tumaini plays a crucial role in ensuring that our programs are not only educationally enriching but also sensitive to the unique challenges faced by the children we serve.

Daniel Sala

Training Coordinator

Daniel Sala, our Training Coordinator, brings a unique blend of expertise to our team. With a background in sociology and experience as a social worker, Daniel is dedicated to ensuring the success of our computer training programs. He meticulously oversees the logistics, organization, and implementation of our training initiatives, combining his commitment to the well-being of children with a structured approach to learning. Daniel plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of the underprivileged children we serve at the Center.

James Chambo

IT Director

James Chambo, our dedicated IT Director, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team. With a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Dodoma, Tanzania, and a strong background in IT companies both locally and internationally, James combines his academic foundation with practical expertise. His deep understanding of technology and commitment to innovation make him an invaluable asset in ensuring the smooth operation of our center’s computer training programs.

Tiana Aprianti

Web Manager

As a Fulbright scholar and a holder of a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, United States, She has developed a strong foundation in education and leadership. However, her passion lies in the tech field, where she aspires to combine her planning skills and love for teamwork as she pursues a career in web development and web design. Her background in education has instilled in her a commitment to continuous learning, and she is eager to apply these principles to the dynamic and innovative world of technology. With a vision for creating user-centric web experiences, she is excited to embark on this new journey, driven by her dedication to excellence.

With a passion for community service, Thereza brings extensive experience in coordinating volunteers, conducting interviews, and ensuring impactful project follow-up. Her commitment to empowering the underprivileged shines through as she leverages her leadership skills to create a meaningful and enriching experience for both local and international volunteers contributing to the Tiketi Rafiki Kids Computer Training Center’s mission.

Zanzibar Coordinator

Meet John Massenza, the dedicated Zanzibar Coordinator for Tiketi Rafiki Kids Computer Center. A graduate of the University of Dodoma in Tanzania with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), John brings over 12 years of knowledge, skills, and experience, passionately empowering children through various Humanitarian and International Development initiatives, including ICT integration in education. His commitment to bridging the digital divide in Zanzibar is evident in his role at the forefront of the center’s initiatives.
